IWAP announces relaunch of two journals
In January 2021 the IWA Publishing team relaunched two of its titles, with new branding, aims and scopes, and editorial teams.
The Journal of Water Reuse and Desalination becomes Water Reuse. The new editorial team is headed up by headed up by Prof. Stephen Gray (Victoria University, Australia) and Prof. Hong-Ying Hu (Tsinghua University, China).
The Journal, which became Open Access in 2016, has consistently grown its reach and impact in recent years, and the renewal allows it to address one of the most pressing environmental issues of our time – the recycling of municipal, mining and industrial wastewater for agricultural and drinking water, at a time when clean water is increasingly scarce.

In addition, the Journal of Water Supply: Research and Technology – AQUA becomes AQUA: Water Infrastructure, Ecosystems and Society. Its renewed focus will be on the evolution of water supply under growing pressures of climate change, population growth and ageing infrastructure.
To address these issues, under Editors in Chief Pernille Ingildsen (Hillerød Forsyning, Denmark) and Shuming Liu (Tsinghua University, China), AQUA will concentrate on issues such as water sustainability, water infrastructure, water technologies, and water management and governance. Both journals are now live in their new formats and welcoming submissions.
